WrestleMania 30: Stars in Most Need of Success at the Event

WrestleMania is a time of year like no other for the WWE. You get a whole host of guys returning to the company on a temporary basis—whether that's a good or a bad thing, it always happens.

However, a knock-on effect of that is there are always full-time wrestlers who get bumped down the card. Guys who have been battling for championships in the past often find that they are assigned less important matches at WrestleMania, and the 30th edition of the show features men in exactly that position.

That means they need a huge 'Mania to ensure that they go into the subsequent months with some huge momentum. But which guys are in biggest need of some success at WrestleMania 30?

Sheamus

Sheamusstorylines have been somewhat limp since he returned from injury, to say the least. His paltry rivalry with Christian seems to constantly go nowhere, which has left him in a pretty desperate state heading into WrestleMania 30.

He is taking part in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and should rightly be regarded as one of the contenders to outlast everyone else in the match.

A win for Sheamus in this match could really catapult him up the card heading out of WrestleMania and hopefully give him some sort of feud worth mentioning. However, perhaps success of some kind could come elsewhere.

Maybe turning him heel would reignite his stuttering career with theWWE. Having him turn on a high-profile star in the match could give him some pretty big heat with what will surely be a massively vocal crowd in attendance at the show. Who knows? It may just relaunch theSheamus brand.

Big E

It seems strange to think Big E is in need of success at WrestleMania. After all, he is in a no-lose situation. He too is competing in the Battle Royal, meaning his Intercontinental Championship won't be defended.

However, in some ways, that is the problem. The belt has become the second-most prestigious championship in the company since the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships, yet it rarely gets any sort of meaningful exposure. When you think of the IC title and WrestleMania, you think of supremely iconic moments.

Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon. Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper. Having the holder of the belt take part in a pretty meaningless Battle Royal makes no sense whatsoever.

Big E needs success at WrestleMania. Whether that means winning the Battle Royal or going close enough to forge a rivalry with someone of genuine interest, it has to happen.

Dolph Ziggler

Of all the men in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal, a straw poll across wrestling fans would probably see Dolph Ziggler emerge as the one they most want to win it.

It is nearly a year since Zigglercreated his own defining moment by cashing in his Money in the Bank Briefcase against Alberto Del Rio. That took place on the Raw after WrestleMania 29, and the crowd were completely and utterly sold.

Fast-forward to the present day, andZiggler can still generate great reactions from the crowd despite being criminally underused by the company.

Ziggler winning this match would light a fuse in his WWE career once again, or at least that is the big hope. There are plenty who want DolphZiggler to be regularly seen on their TV screens, and his winning the Battle Royal would hopefully secure such exposure for some time.
