So today's discussion was on three matches for this Sundays PPV TLC:
Big E Langston VS Damien Sandow -Intercontinental Title
AJ Lee VS Natalya - Divas Title
Dolph Ziggler VS Fandango - Kick off show
Big E Langston VS Danien Sandow -Intercontinental title:
Both of these men are deserving of a step up in the company and could use this win to help usher that along, but only one of them can win in the end.
Since Langston's title reign is still relatively new, it would be more of a disservice to him to drop the title to Sandow than for Sandow to come up short. Big E Langston has made the intercontinental title mean something unlike Curtis Axel.
A feud can continue between these two and properly develop with Langston retaining and Sandow seeking vengeance after the fact in some fashion, and this is the course of action that seems likely to happen.
I do think Sandow deserves a title and I think he will have one soon, let's see what the new year brings. But I do think Langston is the better superstar out of the two of them and I think he will win this match in Sunday. But who knows there have been a lot of surprises lately.
The Tactics Sandow will want to use are to keep Langston on the ground and try to pin when possible. With Langston he just has to use his strength against Sandow and to not be clumsy.
AJ Lee VS Natalya - Divas Title:
Despite Total Divas being the primary focal point of the Divas division in WWE for the past several months, AJ Lee has maintained her grasp on the Divas Championship.
So far, nobody has been able to take the title off her hands and when push comes to shove, the fiery little nutjob continually finds a way to avoid defeat.
But how much longer is that title reign really going to last?
It goes without being said that if a member of the Total Divas cast was holding the title, it would make sense, so there's always a threat that WWE will book a loss for AJ and award the belt to someone like Natalya to fulfill that role.
But who would challenge Natalya after she finished her program with AJ Lee?
Without stretching things too much, WWE could rely on a rematch between the two and at least one match involving Tamina Snuka, but after that, something would be needed to freshen the situation up.
With all things considered, AJ Lee is probably going to retain the title here and hold onto it for a little while longer. But I don't think for much longer. It would be nice to see a new divas champion.
Dolph Ziggler VS Fandango - Kick Off Show:
Just why exactly are Fandango and Dolph Ziggler on the card but many of the other programs are being ignored?
One would think that The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods vs. Brodus Clay or something featuring Rey Mysterio or Big Show would have been announced instead of this match.
The kickoff is frequently something that has very little value to it but is expected to be entertaining enough to motivate people to purchase the pay-per-view.
Both of these superstars need a push. Ziggler went from being World Heavyweight Champion a few months ago to filler matches, he has so much potential and it's being wasted so he defiantly deserves a push. Fandango hasn't really had a proper rivalry/feud yet so after this PPV he should be out in a good storyline and maybe he will have a title shot next year.
If Fandango is getting a renewed push or this is to start a feud between these two, he will win this match, whether it is legitimate or by cheating.
