While many Angle fans may be disappointed by this news, they can't be altogether surprised. TheSharknado 2 star has been hindered with various neck problems and injuries over the past few years—no wonder McMahon doesn't want to sign him and put him back in the ring again, even on a limited schedule.
However, I don't think WWE should rule out using the star in any capacity.
Why not get him under contract again? If only so the company can finally do the great DVD profile set on him that everyone has been waiting for.
Angle—undoubtedly one of the best technical wrestlers WWE ever produced—would surely be an asset as a trainer down in FCW. He could also be very useful as a goodwill ambassador and help promote the company.
He'd be a useful participant in various WWE Network documentaries too. Or you could bring him back as a manager or authority figure on Raw.
There are plenty of things you could do with the former TNA champion, even if you don't want to put him in the ring.
Honestly, despite what McMahon may be saying now, it's a bit hard to believe fans will never see Angle inWWE ever again.
