Wolverine's wrestling rampage! Hugh Jackman to make ANOTHER special appearance on WWE Raw

He's best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise.

But Hugh Jackman is slowly amassing something of a professional wrestling career, as it was announced on Tuesday that he'll be appearing on next week's episode of WWE Raw.

It'll be the 45-year-old's second time on WWE's flagship program, and he'll be there to promote X-Men: Days Of Future's Past.

Hugh first appeared on Raw back in 2011 when he punched then-US Champion Dolph Ziggler, allowing underdog Zack Ryder to pick up a surprise win.

Dolph at the time played a villain, but now as a crowd favorite he looks to mend fences with Hugh, complementing him on Twitter.

'Saw new XMen trailer w/ Hugh Jackman do you even lift, bro?,' he joked, before saying Hugh is 'JACK-ed Like Xavier/Magneto, should we bury the hatchet?'

It's an usual cause of excitement for wrestling fans, who are notoriously hostile to outsiders.

Jeremy Piven and Ken Jeong were infamously booed by an entire arena back in 2009 after the Entourage star inadvertently called the upcoming SummerSlam event 'Summerfest.'

Hugh is embraced for being a lifelong fan, and also for not being afraid to get physical.

Plus, with his considerably bulked up physique, Hugh could likely give many of the wrestlers a run for their money; he is Wolverine after all.

He last appeared on Raw to promote Real Steel, which would end up grossing just under $300million.

With the last Wolverine film earning over $400million, X-Men: Days Of Future Past looks to potentially be the actor's biggest hit yet.

He's currently in the midst of shooting the 2015 action thriller, Chappie, about a boy adopted by criminals at birth, who happens to be a prodigy and a robot.
