RAW Recap

Hey guys. Mike here. I'm not going to do a complete breakdown of raw because I think that's far too much reading so what I'm going to do, is write a short recap of the key points from this weeks Monday Night RAW

Daniel Bryan & Bray Wyatt vs The Usos

The show opened up with Bryan and Wyatt taking on the Usos in tag team action with Harper & Rowan lurking around the edges of the ring. All 4 competitors gave a really strong showing in this match with plenty of back and forth action. The crowd were still incredibly over on the Yes/No chants, slightly undermining the fact that he was no longer the man they used to love. 

Bryan came across with a much more aggressive attack and really sold the vicious nature encompassed with the Wyatt family. The ring presence that Bray possesses is astounding. He truly tells a story when he's in the squared circle and compels the fans to understand him and appreciate how dark of a character he is. A nice double dive from the Usos created a nice spot, leading to a disqualification for The Wyatt family when Rowan & Harper got involved. Jey Uso managed to super kick Bryan, allowing them time to escape the ring. Bryan then allowed Bray to nail him with the Sister Abigail as punishment for his wrong doing. Watch this space, there is more to come. 

Damien Sandow vs John Cena

How fresh it was to see Cena in action In a ring. It surprises me that the top stars don't wrestle as much as they should do. Orton & Cena should be in match ups week in week out as they build up to the Royal Rumble, yet we find them competing on only a few occasions. Sandow fought well against Cena which bodes well for his future as he's a strong competitor and can quite easily have a great career with the company. Few stars on the roster are as deeply involved with their character as Sandow is. 

Cena threw In a few different moves, much to the delight of myself as he tries to break away from his "5 moves of doom" Cena landed an STF only for Sandow to lock in his own and showing incredible strength, Cena lifted Sandow up whilst the STF was locked in and nailed him with the AA for the win. A great performance from Cena which bodes well for the Rumble. 

Maddox and Kane announced a rematch for Bryan and Wyatt against the Usos at the end of the night in a steel cage. 

Big show took on Jack Swagger In a fairly routine squash match displaying his strength in the run up to his match with Brock Lesnar. 

Promo hyping Batista back on Raw next week 

Road Dogg & Billy Gunn did their trademark mic work before their match with CM Punk vs the shield. In a great match, The new age outlaws turned their back on punk and allowed The Shield to pick up the victory. Hopefully we'll find out the reason behind this next week. 

On a side note, I believe Roman reigns will be the next big thing this year. He has strong potential and I hope it is used wisely

The ultimate warrior is named to be inducted into the hall of fame. 

Kofi Kingston picked up a surprise victory over Randy Orton, leading Orton to return to his old school viper roots and viciously attack John Cenas father - leading him to be taken out on a stretcher. Thus adding fuel to the fire between the two. I hope this can translate to a strong matchup between the two. 

The Rhodes brothers defeated Rybaxel. 

Rey Mysterio was defeated by Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio delivered a promo about the Royal Rumble and Batista after the match. 

Wyatt & Bryan vs The Usos

A decent matchup between the two teams but this is not what I'm here to talk about. I'm here to talk about the shock turn of Daniel Bryan turning his back on The Wyatt family and ripping off his jumpsuit to reveal his normal wrestling attire. Not in a long time have I heard a fan reaction like that for A star. are we witnessing a Stone Cold Steve Austin moment? It would certainly seem that way. Let's just pray for Daniel Bryan that creative and Vince McMahon see his potential and use him to be the main event star we all know he is.
