WWE star Fandango is an Everton fan

It seems that Everton F.C have a new celebrity fan to boast.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, WWE's resident ballroom dancer Fandango stated that he is "tight" with the Merseyside club.

Fandango became associated with the club last year during a period when his entrance song "ChaChaLaLa was rocketing up the music charts after becoming a sensation in the WWE universe.

The song became an overnight hit as many fans took to iTunes to buy the single, causing it to gain considerable momentum and move from #175 to #11 in one day on the UK chart, before dropping to 44 by the end of the week.

The salsa expert revealed that a number of fans asked the Goodison Park club to play his theme at matches.

Despite the Merseyside outfit being reluctant at first, they soon changed their tune and he says he has now developed a bond with team.

Fandango explained in his interview:

"There were lots of European fans at the Raw the night after WrestleMania and as the show progressed the fans got more and more into my music.

"The song went to number 11 in the iTunes chart and a lot of clubs were playing my music at their games, so a lot of WWE fans Tweeted Everton and said 'play Fandango's music at your games'.

"Everton refused and me being the shy, quiet type that I am, I sent a few friendly Tweets to them.

"We had a little bit of a back and forth but eventually they played it at a game and now I am a huge Everton fan.

"A good relationship often starts off on a rocky road and now we are tight."

So The Toffees have a new famous follower, let's see if he will be fandango-ing his way onto the Goodison pitch any time soon.
