WWE TLC: Discussing Daniel Bryan VS The Wyatt Family

Listen to this discussion on our WWE Talk show - http://www.spreaker.com/user/wwextraa/wwe-talk-show_1

So as we are only a few days away from the WWE Pay Per View Tables, Ladders, Chairs (TLC) me (@WWExtraa) and @WWELiveTalk discuss the 3 on 1 handicap match between Daniel Bryan VS The Wyatt Family.

Daniel Bryan:

Daniel Bryan is going to find this match really hard as he is going to be on his own while the Wyatt family have three of them.

Daniel Bryan just can't catch a break, can he?

The poor guy has obstacle after obstacle placed in front of him, and this is just another big mountain that he has to climb.

As much as the underdog story is compelling, it only works if the underdog can't win all of his challenges.

As Daniel Bryan is a small athlete and the Wyatt Family members are big athletes he will have to target the lower body of the Wyatt family to take them down but he will also have to be careful when performing his athletic moves as the Wyatt Family are really strong and can catch him him the air.

If Bryan were able to beat the odds in every situation except for those that involve interference, he doesn't look like the underdog anymore.

Likewise, if Bryan were to win this match, it would make no sense.

Bryan should be able to put up some of a fight, but ultimately, he has to lose for the sake of looking at least somewhat realistic.

What happens after his loss is up for debate, though. Does he join them, get abducted or worse?

The Wyatt Family:

As we know the Wyatt Family have made a name for themselves since being in the WWE. Now they want a new member in their group... Daniel Bryan.

The big question is will Daniel Bryan join the Wyatt Family?

As many people chant the word NO! Who knows if he will join them or not but what we do know is that Bryan needs a plan going into this match at TLC this Sunday.

The Wyatt family will probably try to keep Bryan on the ground to stop him performing his athletic moves. Most of all I think they want to hurt him a lot.

The Wyatt Family will most probably try to distract the official a few times in the match but that's the sort of tactics they use and will it help? Who knows.

Don't miss the PPV this Sunday! We will have another show and blog tomorrow about the other 3 on 1 handicap match - CM Punk VS The Shield

WWE TLC 2013 match card and line up

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is theTLC event set to take place on Sun., Dec. 15, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the company's annual end of the year showcase playing off the popular Tables, Ladders, and Chairs gimmick match that took the pro wrestling world by storm in the early 2000s.

We're already just one week out from showtime and most of the card is booked. Let's take a look:

- John Cena vs. Randy Orton (TLC match for the WWE and world heavyweight titles)

The unification match that may not be a unification match but is probably a unification match. WWE is promising as much and considering how hard the sell has been, it might be smart to finally just buy in. Or don't and be surprised if that's the ending we get.

- CM Punk vs. The Shield (3-on-1 handicap)

Divide and conquer. Believe in The Shield.

- Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family (3-on-1 handicap)

Divide and conquer. Recruit and corrupt.

- Big E. Langston vs. Damien Sandow (Intercontinental championship)

Somewhat of a surprise considering the booking on both sides, but there aren't many mid-card contenders right now. Sandow fits the bill after failing to win the world heavyweight title on his Money in the Bank cash-in. He'll probably fail here too, and that's fine. His job is to make Big E. Langston look good in the process.

- AJ Lee vs. Natalya (Divas championship)

This is always the program the creative team was working towards, it just got pushed back a few times. Now it's here and it's underwhelming but considering the state of the women's division in WWE, it would be one hell of a feat for it not to be. A title change here is possible.

WWE TLC 2013: Feuds That Will Disappoint Fans at PPV

WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs will be a one-match show highlighted by a historic (for one reason or another) unification match in the main event.

WWE has already lost precious time to hype this pay-per-view due to their Thanksgiving special, where WWE opted to book light slapstick comedy rather than a coherent television program.

Like Survivor Series, where the go-home Raw went country, WWE feuds will continue to struggle to connect with fans, as yet another Raw go-home show will be themed.

Intercontinental champion Big E Langston has had minimal interaction with Damien Sandow, whose lengthy feud with DolphZiggler led him to a shot at Big E's title.

Now, on an episode where Sandowand Langston will likely be too busy performing Slammy Tomfoolerydraped in tuxedos, the two have less than a week to make their feud mean something.

It won't.

With both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk in similar three-on-one matches against hot stables, one of these two matches is destined to be poorly received by the live audience.

A three-on-one handicap match including top stars should seldom be booked on a pay-per-view, let alone being booked twice.

Pay-per-views should be avenues to build money-drawing stars. Mixing them up in handicap matches does nothing for their singles brand. Fans may be burned out on these parallel feuds by the time the second handicap match is set to begin.

WWE's weak undercard will be saved by the intrigue of a unification match 11 years in the making. Unfortunately, this match has the makings of disappointing fans more than any pay-per-view has this year, which is saying a lot.

WWE's standards of pay-per-view finishes have been lowered so much that even if Randy Orton went over as a heel, it would be considered a satisfactory finish simply because it is a finish.

Conspiracy theorists have come out of the woodwork predicting what TLC's finish will entail. These finishes include every scenario except eitherCena or Orton going over.

Should Cena or Orton fail to capture the undisputed championship in at TLC, it would be difficult to imagine paying customers being happy about it.
